Hello, I'm Darren, a sports photographer based in Glenwood, Iowa. I strive to capture amazing images for athletes and their families. My goal is to help my clients preserve precious memories through my photography.

About Me

I'm a photographer based in Glenwood, Iowa.

I grew up in Glenwood, graduating in 1988. After a tour in the Navy, I became a law enforcement officer, where I first learned photography. As a crime scene technician and crash reconstructionist, I learned the basics of the exposure triangle and night photography. Fast forward to 2017 when I purchased my first drone. I became a commercial drone pilot and have done work in real estate photography and videography. Photography became a passion for me in both the ground and air.

Sports and action photography is my passion. "I love the challenge of capturing action such as a catch, a hit, or bucking bull, as much as I enjoy showing the beauty in people and nature.

In the years past, I have taken many photos at sporting events. As a parent, I found it difficult to enjoy the event while trying to take photos. My goal is to provide high quality imagery of athletes so family can enjoy the moment.

I formally started my journey into high school sports in the fall of 2024. I am currently a freelance sports photographer for a local newspaper. I also assist the Glenwood High School by providing them with high quality photographs for the graphics team and yearbook.
